How to treat a herniated disk pressing on a nerve and leg pain

Herniated lumbar disc compressed nerve leg pain can be given conservative treatment or surgical treatment depending on the disease and the patient’s condition.
Herniated lumbar disc compressed nerve leg pain can be given conservative treatment or surgical treatment according to different pathological stages and clinical manifestations of patients, as well as their physical and psychological conditions.
1. Conservative treatment: bed rest until the symptoms are completely relieved. Wear a girdle to get up and move around without bending over to hold objects. Give traction to relieve the load and muscle spasm of the posterior lumbar joints. Physical therapy, massage and acupressure can also be given to relieve pressure on the intervertebral discs and relax the spastic muscles. If there is clear and limited pressure pain in the lumbar region, pain point closure can be given.
2. Surgery: Common surgical methods include lateral percutaneous nucleus pulposus removal, posterior nucleus pulposus removal, anterior transperitoneal or extraperitoneal nucleus pulposus removal, small incision discectomy, endoscopic nucleus pulposus removal, artificial disc replacement and artificial nucleus pulposus replacement.
If the diagnosis of lumbar disc herniation is confirmed, early and standardized treatment is recommended to avoid adverse effects.
