Method: According to the size of the hernia ring opening of umbilical hernia, a coin or a coin wrapped in cotton cloth sewn to the diameter of the hernia ring opening is used, covered with a plastic dressing, which is connected to the elastic band at both ends. The length of the dressing is suitable for wearing and can be adjusted appropriately. The child is placed flat on his back and the skin around the umbilicus is cleaned. The hernia contents are first retracted to a depressed state, and the skin on both sides of the umbilicus is creased as much as possible to reduce the tension of the hernia hole. Press the well-made perihernia on the umbilicus against the umbilical ring and tie the lap band. The elasticity should be such that 2-3 fingers can be inserted without affecting breathing, and care should be taken to prevent complications such as umbilitis caused by pressure on the umbilicus. Wear it for several months so that the umbilical ring will be gradually occluded, and the child should be instructed not to cry, to keep the bowels open, and to follow up regularly. Effect: Clinically, some of them can heal by themselves, but in clinical practice, there are still many children who cannot heal by themselves for various reasons, and the umbilical ring will keep increasing in size during the repeated protrusion of the hernia mass, thus aggravating the condition. Although the hernia is not life-threatening, the child is in pain and has to choose surgery, which has a great impact on the child’s physiology and psychology. Generally, umbilical hernia is better treated with a fixed band within 6 months. However, if the umbilical hernia does not heal with long-term conservative treatment, if there is incarceration or necrosis of the hernia contents, or if the diameter of the hernia ring is larger than 2.5 cm, surgery is recommended.
