Weakly positive urine leukocytes in women means that leukocytes are seen on microscopic examination of the urine but do not meet the criteria of more than three leukocytes per high-powered microscope, and require retesting or retention of clean midstream urine for urine culture testing. It is also necessary to ask the patient if there are symptoms of urinary tract to decide whether treatment is needed.1. If the patient is weakly positive for leukocytes, but there are symptoms such as frequent urination, urinary urgency or painful urination, then the presence of infection is considered. It is recommended that effective anti-infection treatment be carried out while retaining clean middle urine for bacterial culture, and that urine routine be rechecked after 3-5 days of treatment.2. If the patient has no urinary tract irritation symptoms, i.e. no symptoms such as frequent urination, urinary urgency, or painful urination, and only shows weakly positive urine leukocytes, it is recommended that morning urine be retained on the second day and that urine be rechecked. If there is no abnormality in the urine routine, no treatment is needed. However, if the retest is still weakly positive, a culture test of the mid-clean urine is recommended. Depending on the results of the culture, a decision will be made whether to administer anti-infection treatment.
