In the tibial tuberosity down a horizontal finger, draw a horizontal line perpendicular to the tibial tuberosity, and this horizontal line as the center, extending 3 cm to both sides, where two points drawn with the longitudinal axis of the tibial tuberosity intersect, is the traction needle entry and exit points. For elderly people with osteoporosis, this entry point should be moved down a little to avoid causing avulsion fractures when entering the needle. For young adults with hard bones, the entry point should be moved up a little to avoid splitting fractures when entering the needle. When entering the needle, it should be punched in from the lateral marker point to the medial marker point to prevent causing common peroneal nerve injury. After good traction, the movement and sensation of the injured limb as well as the terminal blood flow should be noted.
