Pathologic findings of gallbladder polyps as adenomas are usually not serious, but if malignant transformation into gallbladder cancer is serious. Gallbladder polyps can be divided into neoplastic polyps such as adenomas and adenocarcinomas and non-neoplastic polyps such as cholesterol polyps and inflammatory polyps. Adenoma of gallbladder is a tumor polyp of gallbladder, which is also a common benign disease of gallbladder, most of them are single, with different sizes, mostly in 1~2cm, and the biggest one can be full of gallbladder, mostly presenting broad base nodular shape, and the blood supply of the lesion is small. Generally, cholecystic adenoma can be cured after cholecystectomy, with good prognosis and not very serious. However, gallbladder adenoma is a precancerous lesion of gallbladder cancer, with a malignant rate of about 1.5%, and if it turns into gallbladder cancer, it may be life-threatening, which is serious, so once diagnosed with gallbladder adenoma, it should be treated with surgery.
