There are no consequences to eating leeks after a rabies vaccination; leeks do not affect the effectiveness of the rabies vaccine in producing antibodies to the rabies virus. Because no scientific study has proven that diet affects the efficacy of the rabies vaccine, the rabies vaccine is the only weapon that humans have to defend themselves against rabies virus infection. Within 24 hours of being bitten by a rabid dog or stray cat, go to the nearest vaccination station for a rabies vaccination. The full rabies vaccination requires five shots over a one-month period. During this one-month period, it is important to have a balanced, high-protein, low-calorie diet and to ensure a normal routine without strenuous exercise and without eating very stimulating foods; eating leeks does not affect the effectiveness of the rabies vaccine.
