Both of them can benefit qi, strengthen the spleen, dry dampness and resolve phlegm, but Xiangsha Liu Jun Wan has more Mu Xiang (木香) and Sha Ren (砂仁) than Liu Jun Wan (六君丸), which can move qi, disperse cold and relieve pain besides resolving phlegm, treating abdominal distension and abdominal pain due to blockage of qi by phlegm and dampness.
Liu Jun Zi Wan is composed of Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae, Poria, Radix et Rhizoma Ginseng, Radix et Rhizoma Pinelliae, Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae and Radix et Rhizoma Glycyrrhizae, with the effects of tonifying the spleen and benefiting the vital energy, drying dampness and resolving phlegm, and it can be used to treat abdominal distension and loose bowels caused by weakness of the spleen and stomach (loose and sparse fecal matter), deficiency of qi and phlegm, loss of appetite. Not recommended for pregnant women. It is not suitable for those with deficiency of Yin in the spleen and stomach, which is mainly manifested as dry mouth, red tongue with little fluid and dry stools.
Xiangsha Liujun Pill is obtained from Liujunzi Pill by adding two traditional Chinese medicines: Sha Ren and Mu Xiang, which can benefit qi and strengthen the spleen, move qi and dissolve phlegm, treating abdominal distension and pain due to deficiency of spleen and stomach qi, phlegm obstruction and stagnation of qi, inappetence, lethargy and lethargy.
