How to get a rabies booster shot

There are two types of booster shots for rabies vaccine: First, if you have been vaccinated against rabies throughout and are exposed again within six months to a year afterwards, you only need a booster shot, which requires two shots, one on day zero and one on day three. If the exposure is within 1-3 years, three booster shots are required, one on day zero, one on day three and one on day seven. Second, pre-exposure prophylaxis for rabies vaccine, followed by a booster shot needs to be given once in the first year and only one booster shot every 3-5 years thereafter. These are the two cases of rabies vaccine booster shots.
