The films of TB are different from those of common infections in that they are mainly polymorphic and may show exudation, proliferation, nodules, calcification, pleural thickening, cavities, and pleural effusion. If it is type I tuberculosis, it is dumbbell-shaped changes. type II tuberculosis is evenly distributed corn-like nodular changes in both lungs. type III tuberculosis is mainly manifested as localized exudation, proliferation, infection, and cavities, accompanied by fibrosis, calcification and other changes. type IV tuberculosis is mainly manifested as pleural effusion, and the chest can show the image of pleural fluid with high outside and low inside. Type V TB is extrapulmonary, and if it is in the lungs, mediastinal lymph node enlargement can occur. If it is outside the lungs, it can show corresponding thoracic tuberculosis, lumbar tuberculosis, gynecological tuberculosis and meningitis. In conclusion, pulmonary tuberculosis films show polymorphic changes and need to be further clarified by high-resolution CT of the chest.
