After abortion, ultrasound shows no obvious blood flow signals, and if the residue is relatively small, usually does not need to clear the uterus. However, if the residue is relatively large, it is still necessary to carry out removal of the uterus.
When a woman has an abortion, some complications may occur, such as leakage or empty suction, uterine perforation, bleeding, infection, amniotic fluid embolism and so on. Among them, incomplete aspiration is a common complication of abortion.
Incomplete evacuation of the uterus, that is to say, there is part of the pregnancy tissue left after the abortion, which is related to the operator’s unskilled technique or the abnormal position of the uterus. If there is any residual tissue in the uterine cavity after the operation, whether the uterus should be cleared or not needs to be judged according to the size of this residual material, not according to the signal of blood flow.
If there is no blood flow signal in the ultrasound and the residue is small, there is no need to clear the uterus in this case, and you can take medicines such as new biochemical granules. However, if the residue is relatively large, even if there is no blood flow signal, it is still necessary to carry out timely removal of the uterus, otherwise it is prone to hemorrhage, infection and other abnormalities.
