The blood sedimentation of TB patients is directly related to the severity of the disease. If the blood sedimentation of TB patients is normal, it means that the TB lesions have been completely controlled and the basic calcification has been healed. When in the active stage of tuberculosis, there is an acceleration of blood sedimentation, because the infection of tuberculosis bacillus produces more toxins, which stimulates the cells to secrete C-reactive protein, which can destroy the charge of red blood cells and lead to the aggregation of red blood cells causing accelerated blood sedimentation. For those with normal hematocrit, sputum smear, bacteriological examination, sputum culture and chest X-ray will be used to consider whether the tuberculosis has been cured.
