At present, urticaria is more difficult to cure, mainly through the general treatment and medication for relief.
1. General treatment:
(1) Remove the cause of the disease: every patient should strive to find the cause of the attack and avoid it. If it is caused by infection, the infected lesion should be actively treated; if it is caused by drugs, the allergic drugs should be stopped; if it is caused by food allergy, after finding out the allergic food, don’t eat this kind of food again.
(2) Avoid triggering factors: such as cold urticaria should pay attention to keep warm, acetylcholine urticaria to reduce exercise, sweating and emotional fluctuations, contact urticaria to reduce the chance of contact and so on.
2. Drug therapy: mainly the use of antihistamines, such as fexofenadine, loratadine, imipramine, cetirizine, olopatadine, etc., the itching of urticaria and other symptoms of the treatment. For hives that are acute, severe, or accompanied by laryngeal edema, oral prednisone helps reduce swelling, redness, and itching. Specific medications need to be chosen as prescribed by your doctor.
Urticaria is prone to recurrence, so it is currently difficult to cure. When symptoms such as itching occur, you should actively go to the hospital, under the guidance and advice of the doctor for treatment. The use of medication should follow the doctor’s instructions.
