The acupuncture method for the Li Tui point is to stab superficially 0.1-0.2 inches, or to puncture and bleed.
Litui point is located on the lateral side of the terminal section of the 2nd toe of the foot, 0.1 inch behind the lateral side of the root angle of the nail. It belongs to the Foot Yangming Stomach Meridian and is a well point.
This point has the efficacy of clearing heat and harmonizing the stomach, waking up the mind, and activating the meridians and collaterals, and is often used in treating crooked eyes and mouth, toothache, yellow nasal discharge, neurasthenia, dyspepsia, foot pain, etc. It can be used clinically with Taichong to treat the pain of the foot.
Clinically, it can be combined with Taichong acupoint to treat epilepsy, with Leshou acupoint to treat toothache, with Yanglingquan to treat edema, and with Shangyang acupoint to treat fever.
