What’s with the farts and the poop?

Farting with feces may generally be related to intestinal inflammation, anal sphincter relaxation, perianal diseases, and physiological factors in infants.
1. Intestinal inflammation: Acute gastroenteritis may be caused by bacterial or viral infection, resulting in severe diarrhea, abdominal pain and other symptoms, which leads to farting with feces.
2. Anal sphincter relaxation: the anal sphincter is relaxed, which leads to poor anal closure, and when there is gas outflow, it will bring out feces and intestinal secretions.
3. Perianal diseases: hemorrhoids, rectal polyps, etc., can cause the symptoms of poor anal closure, which will lead to the feces out of the exhaust.
4. Physiological factors: If an infant or young child farts with feces, it may be a normal physiological phenomenon, and can be recovered independently as he or she grows older.
There may be other reasons for farting with feces, so it is recommended to go to the hospital for examination to clarify the cause of the problem and actively treat the symptoms.
