Nine Leaf Blue is not clinically known as such, its probably gynostemma. Gynostemma has the effect of benefiting the qi and strengthening the spleen (regulating the qi of the spleen and stomach). It is used to treat conditions such as weakness after illness and deficiency of lung qi and yin (deficiency of both qi and yin). Gynostemma is a Chinese medicine with a bitter, sweet taste and cold nature, and is the whole herb of Gynostemma, a plant of the Cucurbitaceae family. This Chinese medicine has the effects of benefiting the qi and strengthening the spleen, resolving phlegm and stopping cough, and clearing heat and removing toxins (removing heat, toxins and evil qi from the body). It has therapeutic effects on post-disease weakness, spleen and stomach qi deficiency, tiredness and fatigue, low food intake and dullness (no appetite, reduced food intake), lung qi and yin deficiencies, dry cough and cough, and phlegm with little viscous and other conditions.
