The efficacy and effects of Dadun point are to restore Yang to save the body (by warming Yang Qi to save fainting, unconsciousness, etc.), and to regulate menstruation to stop drenching.
Dadun acupoint is located on the toe, lateral to the end of the big toe, 0.1 inch (finger inch) behind the lateral angle of the root of the toenail. It is mainly used for treating oligo abdominal pain, enuresis, retention of urine (dribbling of urine or inability to urinate), gonorrhea (increased frequency of urination, dripping and astringent pain), blood in urine, menstrual disorders, metrorrhagia (excessive or dribbling of menstruation), and yin ting (prolapsed uterus of a woman or even prolapsing out of the vaginal opening), etc. It is also used for treating menstrual pain.
In modern times, it is often used to treat oligoabdominal pain, orchitis, functional uterine bleeding, irregular menstruation, uterine prolapse, hematuria, enuresis, spermatic neuralgia, penile pain, diabetes mellitus, and constipation.
If acupuncture is needed on the Dadun point, it needs to be operated by a specialized doctor.
