Relationship between cerebral thrombosis and mental disorders

Auntie Zhang retired at home in the last year often feel dizzy, concentration, memory is not as good as before, things are lost, sometimes go out to buy food, clearly intended to buy three things, but left behind the same, this Auntie Zhang also like the old sisters complained, we all say a word to advise her: “old, are like this. How can the older the wiser it is!” Persuaded by the group, Auntie Zhang also stopped worrying. In fact, Auntie Zhang has been suffering from hypertension since her thirties. The cheerful nature of her disease full of care, coupled with busy work and household chores, but also did not take medication on time. Even if there is occasional dizziness, blurred vision will just take some antihypertensive drugs perfunctorily. Systolic blood pressure sometimes reaches 180-190mmHg, nearly fell, but after “forgetting the pain”, and forget to take the medicine. In the last six months, Auntie Zhang’s old dizziness problem has worsened again. Once she fell beside the toilet with a black eye, her family rushed her to the hospital. After the doctor’s examination, she was diagnosed with cerebral thrombosis and hypertension level 2, and was discharged from the hospital two weeks later. After her discharge, Auntie Zhang was basically able to take her medication on time. However, in the past two months, she has been troubled by the frequent buzzing noise in her ears, which gradually developed into hearing people talking about her outside the house, and it was none other than her old sisters with whom she had daily family conversations. Hearing this, Auntie Zhang was very angry and opened the door to ask what was going on, but every time there was no one in sight. For this reason, she was very angry, several times to find the group complained: “You have an opinion on me, just say it, why talk about people behind their backs?” Auntie Zhang’s words put everyone at a loss and did not know how to answer. Auntie Zhang has since become silent and no longer jokes with her sisters. For this reason, Auntie Zhang did not dare to go out, because she felt unsafe outside, sisters were talking about her, neighbors looked down on her, and even people walking in the street were looking at themselves in an unkind way. Looking at the day-to-day suspicious mood instability of the mother, although not tolerate, the children still sent Aunt Zhang to the psychiatric hospital. The hospital mental examination and physical examination, and soon came up with a diagnosis: “cerebrovascular disease caused by mental disorders”. In other words, Auntie Zhang’s suspicion, hearing voices out of thin air and abnormal behavior, are due to hypertension and cerebrovascular disease in play. In the general impression, hypertension, if poorly controlled, can lead to serious cardiovascular and cerebrovascular complications such as stroke and myocardial infarction, while cerebral thrombosis and cerebral hemorrhage can lead to a decline in speech function (such as slurred spitting, incoherent speech, etc.) and unfavorable limb movement, few people associate cerebrovascular disease with mental disorders and memory loss. In fact, prolonged hypertension or fluctuating blood pressure will aggravate the process of cerebral atherosclerosis, and together with cerebral thrombosis, lead to the brain in a state of hypoxia and ischemia, and it is the brain in hypoxia and ischemia that triggered a series of clinical manifestations such as memory loss, dizziness and mental symptoms in Auntie Zhang. In addition, patients with cerebrovascular disease are also prone to mood disorders, such as depression, anxiety, insomnia and emotional instability. So how to avoid “mental disorders due to cerebrovascular disease”? First of all, we should actively control blood pressure, which is the key to delaying atherosclerosis and avoiding cardiovascular diseases; secondly, after suffering from cerebrovascular disease, there is no need to be nervous, we should do: “defy the enemy in strategy, pay attention to the enemy in tactics”, we should take blood vessel expanding and blood stasis activating drugs on time; furthermore, the diet should be lighter. Finally, if there is insomnia, anxiety and depression, or even suspicion, you should go to a regular psychiatric hospital as soon as possible, where the doctors have more clinical experience and complete treatment. At present, there are a wide variety of psychiatric medications, which also have certain side effects and need to be used under the guidance of a physician.
