What to do if you have a foreign object in your upper eyelid

A foreign body in the upper eyelid can be rinsed with plenty of water or removed by an ophthalmologist using specialized tools. If it is accompanied by an infection, anti-infective eye drops will also be used.
If a foreign body has entered the upper eyelid, symptoms such as a foreign body sensation, pain, tearing or blurred vision may occur, and the eye should be rinsed out with plenty of water first to encourage the foreign body to be discharged.
