Is thalassemia indicator 93 serious?

If a patient with thalassemia has a hemoglobin index of 93 in the routine blood test, it is a mild anemia and not considered serious.
Under normal circumstances, adult men with hemoglobin less than 120g/L, adult women (non-pregnant) with hemoglobin less than 110g/L, and pregnant women with hemoglobin less than 100g/L are considered anemic.
Patients with anemia are considered mildly anemic if their hemoglobin index is above 90g/L, moderately anemic if it is 60-90g/L, severely anemic if it is 30-60g/L, and very severely anemic if it is less than 30g/L. Thus thalassemia hemoglobin index 93 is not considered severe.
Although it is still mild, it is necessary to go to the hematology department of regular hospitals to monitor hemoglobin changes, as well as early detection of changes in the condition and timely treatment.
