What does it mean to be HPV high risk positive?

High-risk HPV positivity indicates infection with high-risk types of human papillomavirus. High-risk HPV, if persistently infected, can cause precancerous lesions of the cervix and even the development of cervical cancer. Because cervical cancer is the only gynecological malignancy with a clear cause, it is closely related to the persistent infection with high-risk HPV. TCT and even colposcopic cervical biopsy are required to determine the extent of cervical lesions. If the HPV infection is purely high-risk and there is no abnormality in TCT and pathology, you can also consider strengthening physical exercise to enhance your resistance and increase the chance of high-risk HPV conversion, or giving anti-HPV infection drugs for vaginal application to promote high-risk HPV conversion.
