Can you get pregnant with uterine adhesions?

Uterine adhesions are complications arising from inflammation of the endometrium in the uterine cavity or from surgical operations in the uterine cavity. Severe uterine adhesions can affect the normal shape of the uterine cavity and occupy the position of the uterine cavity, which in turn can affect pregnancy. Whether or not uterine adhesions can affect pregnancy depends on the location of the uterine adhesions and the degree of adhesions. If the degree of adhesions is mild and the adhesions are located at the edge of the uterine cavity, they will not affect the normal pregnancy and the patient is advised to review them regularly. However, if the adhesions are severe and located in the center of the uterine cavity, they can affect pregnancy. The adhesions occupy the location of the fertilized egg and affect the normal fertilization of the egg. In another case, the fertilized egg completes the process of implantation and during the development process, the uterine cavity cannot expand accordingly due to the restriction of the uterine adhesions, which can lead to further miscarriage. Therefore, patients are advised to consult their local hospital promptly after the discovery of cavity adhesions and, if necessary, to have them surgically removed. In summary, cervical adhesions can increase the adverse outcome of pregnancy and it is therefore recommended to decide on pregnancy again after the degree of cervical adhesions has been clarified.
