Does it matter if you take 40mg of rabeprazole a day?

Taking 40mg of Rabeprazole a day is a normal dosage for H. pylori eradication treatment and is usually not serious. Rabeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor, which can inhibit the H+-K+-ATPase system of gastric lining cells, thus inhibiting the secretion of gastric acid and relieving the symptoms of gastric pain, acid reflux, nausea and vomiting caused by gastric acid. Rabeprazole is usually administered orally, and when used in the treatment of peptic ulcer, gastroesophageal reflux disease, dyspepsia, and other diseases, the dose is 10-20 p.p.m. once a day, and the time to take the medicine is 0.5-1 hour before meals. When eradicating Helicobacter pylori, the dose of rabeprazole can be 20 mg twice a day. Treatment should take the lowest effective amount and the shortest course of therapy to ensure therapeutic effect while reducing adverse drug reactions. Rabeprazole overdose can cause adverse reactions such as headache, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, flatulence, and constipation. Rabeprazole must be taken under the supervision of a doctor and should not be used without authorization.
