Valve disease is categorized into mitral stenosis, mitral valve closure insufficiency, aortic valve stenosis, aortic valve closure insufficiency, etc. Specific symptoms vary from disease to disease. 1. Mitral stenosis: Early clinical symptoms of mitral stenosis are not obvious, but in the late stage, there may be fatigue, progressive aggravation of exertional dyspnea, acute pulmonary edema, hemoptysis or sputum with blood, coughing, hoarseness and so on, and in the case of right ventricular failure, there may be symptoms such as appetite loss, abdominal distension, nausea and so on. 2. Mitral valve insufficiency: exertional dyspnea, sedentary breathing, fatigue, and a significant decrease in activity endurance. Hemoptysis and embolism are rare. Right heart failure manifestations such as hepatic stasis enlargement and tenderness, edema, pleural effusion or ascites appear in the late stage. Acute patients often show acute left heart failure or pulmonary edema and cardiogenic shock. 3. Aortic valve stenosis: asymptomatic for a long time, once symptoms appear, it is suggested that the disease is progressing seriously, and there may be exertional or nocturnal paroxysmal dyspnea, sedentary respiration, angina pectoris, fainting and other manifestations. 4. Aortic valve insufficiency: chronic aortic valve insufficiency can be asymptomatic for a long period of time, but in severe cases, left heart failure manifestations can occur, including shortness of breath after activity, sedentary respiration, nocturnal paroxysmal dyspnea, etc. Acute aortic valve insufficiency may be asymptomatic in mild cases, but in severe cases, it can occur in acute left heart failure or pulmonary edema, cardiogenic shock, myocardial ischemia manifestations, and even sudden death. If the above symptoms occur, or if you have valvular disease, it is recommended that you go to the hospital in time and follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment.
