Effects of Sanyinjiao

The effects of San Yin Jiao are to invigorate blood circulation and regulate menstruation, benefit Qi and strengthen the spleen, and tonify the liver and kidney.
Sanyinjiao belongs to the foot Taiyin spleen meridian. It is located on the inner side of the lower leg, 3 inches above the tip of the inner ankle, at the posterior margin of the medial edge of the tibia. It is used to treat intestinal tinnitus, abdominal distension, diarrhea, spermatorrhea, impotence, enuresis, palpitation, insomnia, hypertension, and impotence and paralysis of the lower limbs (weakness, numbness and pain in the lower limbs).
In modern times, it is commonly used in the treatment of acute and chronic enteritis, bacterial dysentery, enlarged liver and spleen, ascites and edema, hepatitis, cholecystitis, nephritis, urinary tract infection, urinary retention, urinary incontinence, diabetes mellitus, menstrual disorders, functional uterine bleeding, and menstrual cramps.
