The redness of the eyes after bathing, with blood congestion in the whites of the eyes, is a symptom of irritation caused by shampoo or body wash. Usually, you can first observe, if the congestion can subside within a short period of time, such as half an hour to an hour, no further treatment is needed, and the next time you take a shower, be careful not to get the liquid into the eye. If the congestion does not subside within an hour or more and has a tendency to become more severe, it may be combined with conjunctivitis, and anti-inflammatory treatment with levofloxacin drops or pralofloxacin drops should be considered first, and the redness of the eye can be subsided by using these two types of drops 3-4 times/day. If these two types of drops do not help and are accompanied by eye pain, a visit to the hospital is needed to see if the cornea is already diseased and a nourishing corneal ointment such as calf’s blood protein extract ophthalmic gel is needed.
