The best way to get rid of chalazion in kids

Chalazion is also known as blepharophalangeal cyst. There is no optimal clinical method of eliminating blepharophalangeal cysts in children, and some children may be able to recover from the condition through physical therapy such as hot compresses on the eyes, but in severe cases, surgery may be required.
Blepharophalangeal cysts are caused by chronic conjunctivitis, blepharitis, etc., which leads to obstruction of the outlet of the blepharophalangeal glands and retention of secretions from the glands in the lids. Clinical management of blepharocysts is mainly symptomatic. If the size of the cyst is small and the child has no symptoms, it usually does not require special treatment and can be absorbed on its own or through localized hot compresses to promote absorption.
If the blepharophalangeal cyst is large and the treatment is not effective, the child may be treated surgically. Surgery involves removing the contents of the cyst with a curette, separating the posterior wall of the cyst, and removing the cyst in its entirety to relieve the child’s discomfort.
It is recommended that children with blepharocysts be seen promptly for evaluation and treatment as prescribed.
