Insomnia is called insomnia in Chinese medicine, and it can be treated by acupuncture and oral Chinese medicine.
1. Acupuncture: Acupuncture treatment can be carried out at Anmian point, Zhaohai point, Shenwei point and Si Shencong point.
2. Oral Chinese medicines: medicines can be used according to different types of symptoms, as follows:
(1) Deficiency of the heart, liver and blood: manifested as deficiency vexation (vexation caused by deficiency heat in the body), insomnia, nausea (lack of appetite, reduced food intake), pale color of the claws and nails, dizziness and dizziness, use Sour Jujube Seed Soup.
(2) Heart-kidney disharmony (heart fire and kidney yin deficiency, dysfunction of the physiological functions of the heart and kidneys): manifesting as difficulty in falling asleep, soreness and weakness of the waist and knees, hot flashes and night sweating (abnormal sweating after falling asleep, sweating stops after waking up), and five heart-quenching heat (fever in the hearts of the hands and feet, and self-consciousness of being irritated by heat in the heart and chest); use Huanglian and Agaricus soup combined with Six-flavored Digoxigenin Pill.
(3) Internal disturbance of phlegm-heat: manifesting as disturbed heart and insomnia (symptoms of disturbed heat in the heart and insomnia), dry mouth and bitter mouth, use Huang Lian Wen Bile Tang.
(4) Excessive fire in the heart: manifesting as disturbed heart and insomnia, sores on the mouth and tongue, short and red urine (small amount of urine, dark yellow in color), and dry stools; use Zhu Sha An Shen Wan (朱砂安神丸).
(5) Deficiency of the heart and gallbladder: manifesting as sleeplessness, timidity (feeling of fear in the heart, not daring to meet people, easily frightened), shortness of breath and spontaneous sweating (involuntary sweating during the day, aggravated by sweating with a slight movement), use An Shen Ding Zhi Pill.
(6) Deficiency of the heart and spleen: symptoms include insomnia, dullness, loose stools (thin and unformed feces), palpitations, use Gui Spleen Tang.
