The causes of headache caused by sinusitis are: 1) pus cells secrete more endotoxin, which spreads directly into the bloodstream and causes neurological headache; 2) there is a large amount of pus in the sinus due to blockage of the sinus opening, which squeezes the surrounding bone wall and causes conductive headache; 3) when the pus is discharged, it leads to vacuum in the sinus and causes vacuum headache. The headache caused by sinusitis is usually relatively fixed in location and regular in time, accompanied by obvious symptoms of nasal congestion and yellow nasal discharge, and the scope of the lesion can be clarified through sinus CT examination. Generally, the first choice of drug treatment, mainly antibacterial, short-term nasal vasoconstrictors. Appropriate use of saline rinses can facilitate the outflow of secretions and promote the recovery of mucosal function. For patients with chronic sinusitis who are not well treated with medication, surgery is the best option.
