Yellow hard skin on the soles of the feet may be caused by physiological reasons, metatarsal warts, palmoplantar keratosis, tinea pedis and so on.
1. Physiological reasons: long-term mechanical friction on the soles of the feet, especially manual laborers, in the daily work, excessive pressure and friction on the soles of the feet, may cause abnormal proliferation of the cuticle on the soles of the feet, resulting in the soles of the feet with yellow hard skin.
2. Plantar warts: If the soles of the feet are infected by the human papilloma virus, it may cause abnormal proliferation of skin tissues in the feet, resulting in yellow growths, hard texture and rough surface, which can be manifested as yellow crust on the soles of the feet.
3. Palmoplantar keratosis: palmoplantar keratosis is a hereditary skin disease characterized by hyperkeratosis of the palms of the hands and the metatarsals of the feet, and the yellowing and thickening of the soles of the feet may occur at a young age.
4. Tinea pedis: Tinea pedis is related to fungal infection, and there are more types of tinea pedis, such as scaly keratosis pilaris, which may lead to localized roughness of the skin and the appearance of yellow crust on the soles of the feet, accompanied by symptoms such as dryness and flaking.
After excluding physiological reasons for the appearance of yellow crust on the soles of the feet, patients should go to the hospital dermatology department in time, clear diagnosis and active treatment.
