A shiny scalp indicates that there is no longer any hair on the top of the head, and there are two possible conditions.
The most common is androgenic baldness, with such manifestations indicating that the hair loss has been long enough that the hair follicles have become mostly fibrotic and there is no effective treatment. In this case a wig piece can be used for decoration or an autologous hair transplant can be performed on the basis of medication. The second is baldness, which should be actively sought after and the hair can be regenerated after effective treatment.
