Shangqiu acupoint is mainly used for treating spleen and stomach disorders, foot and ankle pain, pediatric convulsions, etc. It is usually not used for treating prostatitis. The main indications of Shangqiu point include constipation, diarrhea, bloating and other spleen and stomach disorders, and it can also be used to treat whooping cough, pediatric convulsions, edema, foot and ankle pain, and jaundice. Shangqiu point is often used in modern times to treat gastrocnemius muscle spasms, dyspepsia, neurogenic vomiting, acute and chronic enteritis, acute and chronic gastritis, and ankle and peripheral soft-tissue disorders, etc. This point is not usually used to treat prostatitis. Shangqiu point is located in the depression of the anterior hypogastrium of the inner ankle of the foot, at the midpoint of the line between the tip of the inner ankle and the navicular tuberosity.
