Is moderate anemia serious?

Moderate anemia can already show more obvious symptoms of anemia. It is more serious compared to mild anemia, and the cause of anemia should be found, clearly diagnosed and actively treated. Moderate anemia with hemoglobin between 60-90g/L will generally show more obvious anemia symptoms, such as headache, dizziness, tinnitus, as well as chest tightness, shortness of breath and weakness of lower limbs after activities, which can lead to poor concentration and physical strength during the day, as well as poor sleep quality and throbbing pain in the blood vessels of the head when resting. All these can affect patients’ normal study, work and life. In addition, anemia may also affect the blood supply to the heart, brain, liver and kidneys, and may cause abnormal organ function if left untreated for a long time. When moderate anemia occurs, patients should go to the hospital for treatment as soon as possible. Usually, iron-rich foods such as blood products, animal liver, pork, chicken, duck, fish, spinach and black fungus can be supplemented appropriately.
