How to know if the fetus is normal in the third trimester

In the third trimester of pregnancy, you can know whether the development of the fetus is normal or not through NT test, Down’s syndrome test, non-invasive DNA and other tests, but it is not absolute, and these tests can not 100% guarantee that the fetus must be normal.
1. NT examination: 11~13+6 weeks pregnant can go to the hospital for NT examination, which is also in the form of ultrasound to measure the thickness of fetal nuchal translucency, to determine whether the fetus has chromosomal abnormalities, and also to understand the specifics of the development of the fetus in the uterus.
2. Down’s syndrome screening: Early Down’s syndrome screening can be done in the third trimester of pregnancy, through the extraction of pregnant women’s venous blood, detecting the concentration of alpha-fetoprotein in the mother’s serum, combining with the age of the pregnant woman, the number of weeks of gestation and other calculations of the probability of Down’s syndrome in the fetus, and also be able to learn about the development of the fetus.
3. Non-invasive DNA: If there is any abnormality through the above test results, non-invasive DNA test can be done in the time period of 12~22 weeks of pregnancy to further determine whether there is any abnormality in the fetus.
It is important to do a good maternity test during pregnancy to be able to detect problems and deal with them in time.
