Heat and numbness in the palms and feet are usually caused by qi and blood deficiency, blood stasis, and yin deficiency and fire (deficiency of yin and essence in the body, resulting in hyperactivity of deficiency fire). Weakness of qi and blood or stasis of blood will result in the blood not being able to nourish the limbs, and numbness of the hands and feet may occur. Yin deficiency leads to internal heat, and internal heat leads to five heart-fevers (heat in the hearts of the two hands and two feet, and self-consciousness of being hot in the heart and chest). Excessive fire in the heart and liver or loss of appetite often causes fever, which manifests itself as heat in the hands and feet, dry mouth and bitter mouth, sore throat, swollen and painful gums, mouth erosion and ulcers, acid reflux, loss of appetite, acid reflux, hiccups and acid swallowing (swallowing the acid in the stomach that goes up to the oropharynx), and constipation and redness. It is recommended that patients with palms and feet hot and numb go to a regular hospital for a comprehensive examination, to clarify the cause and reasonable treatment, so as not to delay the condition.
