Visceral fat grade is a measure of whether or not the internal organs contain excessive amounts of fat. Visceral fat is also a type of body fat that, unlike the subcutaneous fat that is often referred to, surrounds the major organs and is primarily found in the abdominal cavity. Visceral fat grade is very significant for health guidance. The evaluation of visceral fat grade is based on CT tomography, which classifies human visceral fat into different grades from 1-30, and based on the fat area of the body’s viscera divided by the average body height, the visceral fat index is derived, and the number of grades is calculated based on the fat index. Usually, the higher the visceral fat level, the higher the incidence of heart disease, fatty liver, infertility and respiratory disease.
