What causes red eyes?

The redness of the patient’s eyes is obvious, which may be caused by acute conjunctivitis, anterior uveitis, ocular trauma, visual fatigue and other reasons.
1. Acute conjunctivitis: due to bacteria and other pathogens infecting the conjunctival tissue, resulting in local inflammatory reaction, causing conjunctival congestion, the patient may appear red eyes.
2. Anterior uveitis: due to bacterial or viral infections or immune abnormalities caused by anterior uveitis, under the stimulation of inflammation, the patient may appear redness of the eyes, photophobia, tearing and other uncomfortable symptoms.
3. Eye trauma: If the patient’s eyes are hit by trauma, it may cause subconjunctival hemorrhage, which may lead to red eyes.
4. Visual fatigue: If the patient stays up late for a long time and uses his eyes tiredly, visual fatigue is likely to occur, which may lead to conjunctival congestion and thus the redness of the eyes.
It is recommended that patients with obvious redness of the eyes should consult the hospital in time to assess their condition and standardize the treatment under the guidance of the doctor in order to avoid delaying the condition.
