Is 9mm of endometrial lining normal?

Whether endometrium 9mm is considered normal or not should be decided according to different periods, if it is in the middle or late proliferation or secretion period, it is normal, if it is in the menstruation period, early proliferation or postmenopause, it is not normal.
The endometrium is characterized by cyclic changes of proliferation, secretion and shedding, and its thickness changes dynamically with the ovarian cycle. The thickness of the endometrium in the menstrual period is 2-4mm, the color ultrasound measurement of the endometrium is about 5-7mm, and the thickness of the endometrium in the postmenopausal period is usually less than 5mm, and if it is in the above mentioned situation, the endometrium of 9mm is not normal.
In the mid-proliferative stage, the ultrasound measurement of the endometrium is about 8 to 10 mm, in the late proliferative stage, the ultrasound measurement of the endometrium is about 9 to 10 mm, and the thickness of the endometrium in the secretory stage is 7 to 16 mm, so that if the endometrium is 9 mm in the above mentioned stage, it is normal.
Therefore, if the endometrium is 9mm, it is recommended to consult a specialized doctor to determine whether it is normal or not according to the patient’s specific situation.
