Early Signs of Meningioma

Patients with meningioma are usually asymptomatic in the early stages and patients have no particular discomfort. Meningioma is a primary intracranial tumor, mostly benign, its growth is slow, the peripheral demarcation is clear, and metastasis usually does not occur. It is mostly asymptomatic in the early stage, and is often discovered accidentally because of other conditions, such as trauma when performing a head CT. As the meningioma increases in size, patients may show symptoms of increased intracranial pressure and local tumor compression, and patients may have headache, dizziness, nausea and vomiting, seizures and optic papillary edema. Although meningioma is a kind of benign tumor, but there is also the possibility of malignant transformation, only the chance is low. Therefore, once the meningioma is found, it is recommended to seek medical treatment in time, surgical resection of the tumor under the guidance of the doctor, and send the pathology to clarify the nature of the tumor after the operation. It is recommended that patients should consult the doctor in time if they have any discomfort, and should not be negligent so as not to delay the condition.
