How does a prostatectomy work?

Prostate removal surgery includes open surgery, minimally invasive surgery and so on, including suprapubic transcystic prostatectomy, retropubic prostatectomy plasma excision and so on. It needs to be done in regular hospitals as well as under the correct operation of doctors. Due to its different surgical methods, the specific needs to be judged according to the surgical methods. 1. Open surgery: (1) suprapubic transcystic prostatectomy: the bladder is cut open to reveal the prostate. The bladder incision is pulled open with a deep abdominal pulling hook, and the enlarged prostate is seen and resected. (2) Retropubic prostatectomy: incision in the middle of the lower abdomen, down to the upper edge of the pubic symphysis, after passing through the skin to separate the rectus abdominis muscle, directly to the peritoneal muscle, the peritoneum will be reflexed to the cephalic side to push open, exposing the bladder, and the bladder wall can be open to the bladder wall to reach the need for removal of the prostate gland. 2. Minimally invasive surgery: (1) Plasma excision: using special instruments to enter the prostate area from the urethra, by using a plasma knife to interrupt the molecular bonds of the tissue, thus achieving the purpose of cutting the prostate, and then transported out of the body by the urethra. (2) Laser surgery: This refers to the use of carbon dioxide light-emitting tubes to emit high-powered light to act on pathological tissues to cut the prostate.
