Initially, there may be mild symptoms of episodic sensation. Some children have a single rash on the hands or feet or buttocks. Oral mucosal rash appears early, initially as corn-like papules or blisters surrounded by a red halo, mainly on the tongue and cheeks, but also on the lateral side of the lips and teeth, with red papules visible on the palate. The rash is not itchy, and the papules turn from red to dark in about 5 days and then fade; the herpes is round or oval and flat, with cloudy liquid inside, with the same length and diameter as the skin line, such as the size of a soybean, generally without pain and itching, and leaves no trace after healing. Hand, foot and mouth lesions may not all appear in the same patient. The blisters and rash are usually forgiven within a week.
