What is the normal size of the uterine cavity?

Normally, the depth of a woman’s uterine cavity should be about 6-8 cm, and the volume is about 5 ml of water fluid. If the female cavity is too small or too large, it is not normal. A small female cavity means that the woman’s uterus is developing abnormally or there is a possibility of endometrial adhesions, which requires relevant examination and treatment. If the cavity is too large, it indicates that the patient may have hypertrophy of the uterine body, adenomyosis, fibroids and other diseases that cause the cavity to become large or deformed. This condition may lead to increased menstrual flow, prolonged periods, downward migration and dislodgement of the birth control ring or secondary infertility, etc. Selective examination and treatment are needed according to the patient’s other clinical symptoms and signs.
