Routine blood tests and treatment of blood cell abnormalities 1. For patients receiving chemotherapy, check routine blood tests every 3 to 4 days after discharge from the hospital. 2.Patients with declining white blood cells will not feel uncomfortable, but declining white blood cells can induce infections or even life-threatening. Patients who are weak or have reduced food intake after chemotherapy have a very high possibility of severe declining white blood cells or serious infections, so the changes in blood routine must be closely observed. 3.Patients with 2-week chemotherapy regimen, in order to ensure that chemotherapy can be administered as scheduled, even if the white blood cells are normal, they should start to use leukostatic injection every day for at least 7 consecutive days after the end of chemotherapy, and routine blood tests during the period of using leukostatic drugs should be as required above. 4, white blood cells below 3.0 × 109 / L, start to use white ascending injection every day continuously, check the blood routine every 2 days during the use of the drug, if the white ascending injection has been used for more than 5 consecutive days and the white blood cells are greater than 15.0 × 109 / L, you can stop using the white ascending injection, less than the above standard must continue to use the white ascending injection until it has been used continuously for 10 days (from the first day of the drug) and the white blood cells reach the normal range. The white blood cells will drop again after stopping the leukostasis injection, therefore, after stopping the leukostasis injection for 2 days, the blood routine should be checked once every 3 to 4 days. 5.After the use of leukostasis injection, the white blood cell will rise to 30×109/L, or the whole body bone and joint pain, these are the reactions after the use of the drug, please continue to complete the course of leukostasis injection according to the above requirements and drink more water, the white blood cell will return to normal after stopping the drug, patients with pain can take “ibuprofen” or “acetaminophen” orally. Patients with pain can take oral “ibuprofen” or “acetaminophen” (available in general pharmacies, trade name Fenbid / Piriton / Celebrex). 6. Avoid crowded places as much as possible after discharge from the hospital. If you develop fever, please go to your local hospital or our hospital immediately, check blood count and use anti-infection treatment, and inform your doctor in charge (see back page for contact information). 7. Please do not use white-raising injection 3 days before and 2 days after chemotherapy. If the chemotherapy is due and the white blood cells still have not returned to normal, or if you are still using the white-raising injection, the chemotherapy needs to be postponed. 8. Platelets below 80×109/L may induce bleeding (nasal/gum bleeding, subcutaneous bleeding or petechiae) and require routine blood tests every 2 days. If platelets are below 60×109/L, start to use platelet-raising injection continuously every day until platelets recover to 90×109/L. If platelets are below 20×109/L, it may induce serious bleeding (gastrointestinal bleeding, cerebral bleeding, etc.), please go to local hospital or our hospital for emergency treatment immediately and inform the doctor in charge promptly. Treatment of common abnormalities of gastrointestinal reactions 1. The first week after chemotherapy, there will be a decrease in appetite, reduced food intake, nausea, vomiting and other reactions, please follow the discharge medical advice for treatment, including oral dexamethasone, acid control drugs, anti-vomiting tablets, etc. Patients with significantly reduced appetite may experience a severe drop in white blood cells and electrolyte disorders, so please go to the local hospital or our hospital for relevant examinations and nutritional fluid supplementation. 2. Because of the anti-vomiting drugs used during chemotherapy, patients may become constipated one week after chemotherapy. Patients should start supplementing fiber foods (vegetables and fruits) 1 day before chemotherapy; massage the abdomen clockwise; take lactulose (usually takes effect in 2 days), fruit-conducting tablets and other laxative drugs orally; if the stool is dry and hard and difficult to pass, use corky. If the stool is clear or soft, stop using laxative drugs. 3, diarrhea, may be chemotherapy drug toxicity, or white blood cell decline caused by gastrointestinal infections, please immediately to the local hospital or our hospital, check the white blood cells, recommended oral Huang Lianxin, rectification of intestinal pills and other drugs, if necessary, anti-infective treatment. Patients who have watery stools more than 8 times a day may have water-electrolyte disorders, shock and other serious conditions, please consult the doctor and inform the doctor in charge. 4. It is recommended to try to supplement various nutrients, such as meat, eggs, milk, fresh vegetables and fruits. Good nutritional supplementation is the basis for successful completion of chemotherapy treatment. We advocate balanced nutrition and do not advocate abstinence from certain types of food.
