Is it okay to combine nifedipine controlled-release tablets with enalapril?

Contraindications to the drug are: hypersensitivity to enalapril or other ACEI drugs, previous history of angioneurotic edema, renal artery stenosis (bilateral or unilateral renal patients), patients with aortic or mitral stenosis, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, patients with primary aldosteronism, patients with primary hepatic disorders or hepatic failure, and so on. As you can see, there is no contraindication to the use of the two drugs, and they are often used in combination for the treatment of essential hypertension.
