What to eat to regulate the jagged edges of the tongue

The jagged edge of the tongue is the “tooth mark tongue” in Chinese medicine, which is mostly caused by the tongue body being fat and compressed by the edge of the teeth. Chinese medicine believes that it is mostly related to deficiency of spleen qi, spleen and stomach yang deficiency. It can be regulated by tonifying Zhong Yi Qi Tang, Si Jun Zi Tang and Li Zhong Wan.
1. Deficiency of spleen qi: In addition to tongue with teeth marks, the patient also has a pale tongue with thin white moss, 晄white face, shortness of breath and laziness, tiredness and fatigue, spontaneous sweating (involuntary sweating during the daytime, aggravated by sweating with a little movement), abdominal distension, and loose stools, etc. The treatment should be tonifying the middle and benefiting qi. When tonifying the middle Jiaozhong and benefiting Qi is the treatment method, tonifying the middle Jiaozhong and benefiting Qi soup and Sijunzi soup can be chosen for regulation. The adverse reactions and contraindications of the above drugs are not clear yet.
2. Spleen and stomach yang deficiency: in addition to the tongue with teeth marks, the patient also has a pale tongue, moist tongue, slippery tongue, pale or greenish-black face, cold pain in the abdomen, warmth, cold limbs, edema and other manifestations. Treatment is based on pungent warmth and yang tonic, and can be regulated by Lizhong Pill. This product is forbidden for those with dampness and heat in the middle jiao or deficiency of Yin in the spleen and stomach.
