Side effects after hepatic perfusion therapy

Post TACE embolization syndrome can occur after hepatic perfusion therapy, and side effects such as liver injury, tumor rupture and bleeding, gastroduodenal lesions, gastrointestinal bleeding, etc. can also occur. 1. Post-embolization syndrome of TACE: it mostly manifests gastro-epigastric pain, nausea, vomiting, etc. Fever can last for 2-7 days, which can be relieved by symptomatic treatment. 2. Liver injury: liver function decompensation, coagulation abnormality, liver abscess, etc. Liver function injury is mostly transient and can be recovered by itself within two weeks, but irreversible liver function decompensation can also occur, and even develop into acute liver failure; liver abscess is mostly caused by bacterial infection secondary to embolization necrosis or intraoperative infection. 3. Tumor rupture and hemorrhage: it is a rare complication, and TACE can be used as a therapeutic means after tumor rupture. 4. Gastroduodenal lesions, gastrointestinal bleeding: mainly due to stress-induced gastrointestinal bleeding, but also due to frequent vomiting after chemotherapy due to severe gastrointestinal reactions, leading to rupture of mucosal vessels in the esophageal cardia. When side effects after hepatic perfusion therapy occur, it is recommended to go to the hospital in time, improve the examination to clarify the cause of the disease, and then give targeted treatment or therapy.
