A CT of the chest can show some of the lesions characteristic of lung cancer, but cannot confirm the diagnosis of lung cancer. CT is used as a means of imaging to check for diseases of the chest and lungs. In the process of chest CT, occupying lesions in the lungs can be detected, including the lesion site, size, morphology, and the presence of burrs around it, and the presence of pleural pulling phenomenon. If you want to clarify whether it is lung cancer or not, the pathological type should be clarified through pathological biopsy of the lesion tissue in the lung. Therefore, the result of chest CT is only one of the bases for the diagnosis of lung cancer, but the diagnosis of lung cancer cannot be confirmed solely based on the result of chest CT. If occupying lesions in the lungs are found in CT examination and suspected to be lung cancer, it is recommended to further cooperate with professional doctors to improve the pathology biopsy, etc., and combine with patient’s symptoms to make comprehensive analysis and evaluation before the diagnosis is clear.
