Both loratadine and cetirizine tablets are anti-allergy drugs. Both drugs have basically the same efficacy in treatment, and the types of allergic diseases they target are basically similar. In case of itchy skin and other diseases, it is better to choose loratadine because this drug is especially good for skin allergic diseases. In case of allergic rhinitis or other allergic symptoms cetirizine can be chosen, but not absolutely, depending on the age of the patient and the severity of the symptoms. The sedative effect of cetirizine is more common, and some of them are easily sleepy after taking the drug, so they should be avoided if they are usually engaged in high-altitude work or drivers. The sedative effect of loratadine is relatively less and lighter, but both drugs are not recommended for use when working at height or at work.
