Indications and Contraindications for Tumor Thermotherapy

Indications for thermotherapy: Primary and recurrent malignant solid tumors in superficial and deep parts of human thoracic cavity, abdominal cavity, pelvic cavity (except for head and blood) and possible subclinical lesions after surgery. Thoracic cavity: lung cancer, esophageal cancer, cardia cancer, mediastinal tumors, malignant lymphoma, etc. Abdominal cavity: gastric cancer, tumor, pancreatic cancer, colon cancer, smooth muscle sarcoma, kidney cancer, etc. Pelvic cavity: ovarian cancer, rectal cancer, uterine cancer, etc. Soft tissue sarcoma and metastases, etc. Contraindications to thermotherapy: 1. prohibited for patients with severe heart disease and cardiac pacemakers; 2. prohibited for those with tuberculosis at the tumor site; 3. prohibited for those with bleeding tendency; 4. prohibited for female patients during menstruation; 5. prohibited for those with metal objects implanted in the body, such as abdominal plates and steel nails; 6. prohibited for pregnant women; 7. prohibited for intracranial occupying lesions; 8. prohibited for patients with various leukemias.
