Does wet earwax mean you have armpit odor?

Patients with wet earwax do not necessarily have fungal odor and there is no connection between the two. Wet earwax, also known as oily cerumen, is related to the patient’s genetic factors. Some patients whose parents have oily cerumen can easily pass it on to their children, which is not a disease but a normal phenomenon, except that in Asia the population of patients with oily cerumen is relatively small, while in Western countries many patients have oily cerumen. Oily cerumen is not easily discharged clinically on its own and can easily lead to blockage of the ear canal, inducing otitis externa, otitis media and other such things, so patients need to go to the hospital regularly for ear canal cleaning treatment, patients usually avoid water in the ear canal, minimize swimming and keep the outer ear canal dry and hygienic. If the patient has fox odor, it is recommended that the patient visit the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery or the Department of General Surgery to find out the cause of the fox odor, and clinically give surgery and other related treatments to achieve a better result.
