Cyclothymia usually refers to Meniere’s disease, and early recovery is possible with standardized treatment. The onset of the disease is mainly treated medically with vestibular inhibitors, glucocorticoids, diuretics, and with appropriate supportive therapy and rehabilitation. Surgery can be used for severe cases.
1. Pharmacological treatment: when patients have acute attacks, vestibular inhibitors such as iproniazine and phenylephrine can be used to control vertigo; if patients have severe attacks of vertigo or hearing loss, glucocorticosteroids such as dexamethasone and prednisolone can alleviate the corresponding symptoms; if patients have fluid in the inner eardrum and labyrinth, they can be dehydrated by diuretics such as furosemide and mannitol, which can help to alleviate the condition.
2. Supportive treatment: for vertigo with severe vomiting, rehydration supportive treatment can be given.
3. Rehabilitation training: patients can relieve dizziness and improve balance through vestibular rehabilitation training; when the condition is stabilized, hearing impaired patients can wear hearing aids or cochlear implants according to the degree of hearing impairment.
All of the above treatments should be carried out under the guidance of professional doctors, do not take medication or training on your own to avoid delaying the condition.
